The Executive Endorsement

Evidently, John McCain is about to get a precarious endorsement.

There, according to sources close to the McCain, the Republican Senator will receive the endorsement of President George W. Bush.

I'm not entirely sure how to take this endorsement. I mean who else is he supposed to endorse? At the same time though, this is certainly a blow to McCain's attempt to distance himself from the president.
